Pa Socheatvong, the current deputy governor of Phnom Penh , has been appointed governor of Phnom Penh, replacing the current governor, Kep Chuktema, who was effectively sacked, even after he allegedly paid $300,000 to Hun Sen's wife in order to keep his job.
