KYOTO – From April 15-19, the
hearing at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding the
Thai-Cambodian dispute over the Preah Vihear Temple took place in the
Netherlands. Cambodia made its opening argument on April 15 followed by
Thailand two days later. Each side then made additional arguments.

Cambodia's oil imports down 12 pct in Q1

PHNOM PENH, April 27, 2013 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia imported 412,190 tons of
petroleum in the first quarter of 2013, a 12 percent decrease compared
with the 471,000 tons it imported at the same period last year, the
commerce ministry's report showed on Saturday.

During the January-March period this year, the country spent 397
million U.S. dollars to buy the petroleum, down 15 percent from 469

On Saturday, Cambodian-Americans in Southern California are celebrating
their new year festival with cultural dances, day-long picnics and
visits to local Buddhist temples. But one group is also using the
occasion to educate a new generation about the Khmer Rouge genocide.
